Dodge is an American brand of automobile manufactured by Fiat Chrysler Group LLC (known as FCA US LLC). Dodge vehicles include performance cars. Dodge was founded by brothers Horace Elgin Dodge and John Francis Dodge in early 1900 as the Dodge Brothers Company and established in 1913.
Dodge, Ram, and Dodge's Viper were separated in 2011. Dodge announced that the Ram will be a manufacturer, and Dodge Viper would be an SRT product. SRT was merged back into Dodge in 2014. Later 'Chrysler Group' was renamed FCA US LLC, corresponding with the merger of Fiat SPA. and Chrysler into the single corporate structure of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Dodge introduced a bigger and stronger van line the B Series in 1971 and offered both car-like comfort in its Sportsman passenger line or expansive room for materials and gear in its Tradesman cargo line.
Dodge also offered a cargo version of its best-selling Caravan, at first calling it the Mini Ram Van, which was a name originally applied to the short-wheelbase Ram Vans (B Series), and later naming it the Caravan C/V, the C/V stood for Cargo Van. The Caravan C/V was rebranded as a Ram and was renamed the Ram C/V.
