Mazda Rx-8

The Mazda Rx-8 was a sports and two-door coupe car produced by the Japanese automaker Mazda from 2003 to 2012. The Mazda RX-8 and its predecessor, the RX-7 are the only models produced by the Mazda Motor Corporation powered by the "Wankel rotary engine". The Rx-8 car has become one of the most desirable Japanese import sports cars today.

The Mazda Rx-8 was first launched at the North American International Auto Show in 2001 and went to sale from 2003. The Rx-8 was availablee in various models in different markets with 6-speed manual "High Power", 5-speed manual "Standard Power" and 6-speed automatic with manual paddle-shifting option.

In 2009, the second generation improved the Rx-8 body rigidity through the addition of structural reinforcements, by adding a trapezoidal shock tower brace and enhancing the local rigidity of the front suspension tower areas. Mazda stop the Rx-8 production in 2012.
