Isuzu 117 Coupé is a compact Gran Turismo type 2-door fastback coupé which was produced between 1968 and 1981. Its marketing approach was similar to the Nissan Silvia, produced around the same time. The first engine available was a 1.6 L DOHC inline-four, and in 1970, an electronic fuel injection unit from Bosch debuted, using the D-Jetronic system. In November 1977, Isuzu decided to afford the 117 Coupé a facelift, which resulted in replacing the previous front fascia with four round headlights with more modern one with rectangular lights. In an effort to further decrease manufacturing costs, plastic moldings were used in the interior. In 1978, the 1.95 litre engine debuted, and in 1979 the XD diesel-powered version was added.
Isuzu Bellett is a subcompact car produced between 1963 to 1973. The Isuzu Bellett GT', launched in April 1964, was a two-door coupé with a 40 mm (1.6 in) lower height than the sedan, fitted with a twin-carbureted 1.6 L OHV gasoline engine. In 1964 saw the arrival of a 1.5 L version of the GT, front disc brakes and some slight modifications to the front fascia. In late 1966, the SOHC 1.6 litre G161 engine with 90 PS (66 kW) was introduced, a little after the April addition of a fastback body style.
