VDL Bus Chassis is a Netherlands-based bus builder which originated from the bus-building business of DAF. Originally named DAF Bus International after being separated from the truck-building business of DAF, it joined the United Bus in 1990. It became a subsidiary of VDL Groep after United Bus collapsed in 1993. DAF Bus International was renamed VDL Bus International in September 2003. As of 2005, VDL Groep held 81% share of VDL Bus and PACCAR held another 19% share. VDL Groep bought another Dutch bus manufacturer, Berkhof Jonckheere Groep, in 1998, and together with VDL Bus International they form the VDL Bus Group, a division of VDL Groep. In 2008, VDL Bus International was renamed VDL Bus Chassis. It's now a part of VDL Bus & Coach bv.

The DB250LF, the low-floor version of the DB250 chassis, is perhaps more well known as the first low-floor double-decker bus chassis available in the UK. The DB250LF is readily identified by the centrally-exiting exhaust at the rear, which can cause problems with extreme changes of slope. The first DB250LFs were bodied by Optare, with the modified Spectra body, which was sold exclusively on the DB250. The DAF MB200 was a mid-underfloor-engined coach/bus chassis produced by DAF in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, during the 1970s and 1980s. It was fitted with a DAF 11.6 litre diesel engine and ZF transmission, in either manual or automatic styles.

The VDL SB250 is a full-size low-floor single-decker bus launched in 1997, which was designed specifically for Continental Europe market by the Dutch bus builder VDL Bus International. The SB250 chassis could be fitted with bodywork supplied by VDL Berkhof, Valkenswaard or Jonckheere etc. The Volvo B7L, the engine is mounted at the left side of the rear overhang, but the radiator is mounted on the roof. The new version of SB250 was launched in 2004 which is officially known as SB250+. The design has received a number of modifications, including the use of the independent front suspension. receives lots of DAF BUS inquiries every day from many countries.
