The Nissan Caravan is a van with 3, 5, 7, and up to 10 seats produced by Nissan Motors. It was very popular in Fire Departmant and as ambulances in some countries. Outside of Japan it is also sold as Nissan Urvan, King Van, or Homy.
The first Nissan Cravan (also known as "Urvan") was produced in 1973, the gear shifter was nearly 80 centimetres long, so it was somewhat clumsy to shift, but it came with five gears. It was available with three and four-door body styles and 1.6 litre (1,596 cc) engine, a 1.8 litre (1,798 cc) engine, and a 2.0 litre (1,998 cc) engine. Second generation was appeared with optional radial tires in 1980.
Third generation was produced from 1986 and the large QD32 four-cylinder diesel was added in 1996. The E25 model was built from 2001 to 2012. Fifth generation of Nissan Caravan was introduced in at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show and first went to sale in June 2012.
